"Why?" you ask. Why has this blogspot not been updated in such a long time? Have they forgotten about it? The answer is... no. However, we are no longer an EXTERN team in Switzerland, because the four of us here are now officially INTERNS in the new Master's Commission program here in Biel, Switzerland. Of those five pretty faces to the left (ok, I didn't put a very pretty picture of Andrew there, I admit), only three are now interns and we've got a wonderful addition, Jennifer Joy Staab. So. This page is what it WAS, and I am currently working on publishing a real legitimate website for the MC under www.masterscommission.ch (don't go there, nothing's there yet) as what it IS. Does all of this help?

So the question remains. What to do with this website? For now, it remains an electronic journal, a piece of memorabilia, that shows what we went through as a team last year. I bet there's still stuff that you haven't looked at yet, anyway... and I'll just let you know when the new site is up so you can drop in for tea.

Ok, here we are in Geneva! We have been here for 4 days now and we already have lots of testimonies about what God is doing. We have reserved a spot on the lake of Geneva between 7.30-9.30 pm each night from the city to minister and do our dances, which is amazing because our place is right at the end of a long line of booths and amusement park rides so there are tons of people around. As always, Kingdom Rhythm draws a lot of people and our strategy is to draw them in and then shotgun out into the crowd in small ministry teams of three people to do personal evangelism. We also have a couple of other dances prepared, as well as candy and games for kids. Already there have been people getting saved, and they like to come back each evening just to hang out with our team.

Please continue to pray for us. Our schedule is busy (like any outreach) and Jill and myself are currently fighting off sickness. Pray that the team would get the rest we need during this level of output and that many more Muslim people will be reached.

To end: I love you each a ton, probably more now being away then when I am home! I look forward to being with you soon, in just three weeks.

So, you want some explanations. First, Melissa seems to not make it in so many photos, so I decided this was a good chance to showcase her.

As for my hair, I really have no excuse. I apologize. If you and I need to work this out later, I understand.

As you may or may not know, us externs are departing one week from today for an outreach to Geneva to reach people of the Arabic culture for Christ. Many Arabs that have the money come to Geneva, a very international city, for a time in July when there is a huge festival and lots of fun things to do.

You can check up on us and see how the outreach is going every day by clicking here or going to http://www.kingskids.ch/outreach. (By the way Genf is the German name for Geneva, so don't get confused.)

Please be praying for us and the youthgroup during this time. I believe that God wants to do some awesome, SUPERNATURAL stuff and He is daily raising my faith higher to believe Him for His promises. We are also experiencing warfare and I believe it is due to this outreach. Thank you!

People are so stubbornly themselves. They usually hate themselves, or at least portions of themselves, but they cling on to what they have so desperately that they cannot let themselves become Someone else.

God did for us. Then God did with us. Now God does IN us.

Do we really believe it?

All of our visitors have now departed. In this month came first the Gollnicks, then Mandy and Lucie, then Heidi (complete shock that was to Esther!). It has been busy and wonderful having them all here!

Now we set our face towards the two-week outreach to Geneva, where we will focus on spreading the gospel to Arabic people that can afford to get away from their home for the hottest part of the year. Some of them come to the international city of Geneva for close to a month, bringing their entire family and security entourage with them, renting out a floor of a high-class hotel. We have been preparing some dances to take with us (including, of COURSE, Kingdom Rhythm--how many times have I taught that dance now?) and also brushing up on our knowledge of the religion of Islam. We return from our outreach on July 27th and then it is straight into the Transforum, Europe's version of the KMI Convergence. This will keep us plenty busy until we depart on August 12--which gives us one afternoon to prepare for Family Camp! Busy, busy, busy.

But we're loving it and learning not to let our busy-ness separate our hearts as a team. The enemy always likes to divide and conquer, it is his ongoing strategy, and we are learning to guard our minds and our hearts from his tactics.

Last night I looked at a piece of paper with our airline reservations to London and then Seattle and I got VERY excited about the reality of coming home soon and seeing all of your smiling mugs! Won't be long now...

So, these are exciting times. Not only have we as a team been enjoying the visit of Lucie Moore and Mandy Lewis since last Tuesday, but last night Heidi flew in for a week-long stay. We have been lying to Esther Maria for the last six months so that we could surprise her with Heidi´s visit. She was surprised, oh yes. Could NOT believe it. So we are quickly becoming the Extern Travel Agency, but we love it and are trying to not get too distracted and accomplish what we need to do.

Today I put on lipstick and kissed Andrew on the right cheek for approximately 1.47 seconds. Wondering why? Ask Jessica Bradford.

If you have anything to say to either one, send me an email and I will tell them. journeyman123@hotmail.com

This week I'm away from the team, up in Wiler at the YWAM base. YWAM offers a school called SBS (School of Biblical Studies) and it teaches a way of digging into the Scripture inductively to really get what was originally meant by the authors instead of coming into the text with an idea and trying to prove it true with scripture. Interested? Here's some information. We are exploring the possiblities of MC being involved with SBS in some way next year.

Hey, this is fun!

What is it like in Switzerland? Well, right now it's pretty hot and muggy.

Some thoughts today as I sit here sweating a little (when I stand up my lower back might be just a little bit sweaty, like after you've been driving on a hot day): Did you know that the enemy really doesn't like MC at all? Did you know that when the church begins to WAKE UP and really take ground for the Kingdom of God, this activity shows up bright and clear on the enemy's radar? He really hates it when generations are joined. He hates it when we pull the younger generation (whom he desperately wants to knock off track) into a passionate relationship to the living God. He hates this generatioin KNOWING who we are. Yeah, it bothers him. Keeps him up nights.

So. Could I ask you, my friend, to PRAY for us. We need it. We are not just preparing for a new program here, but we feel strongly in the spirit that we are BIRTHING something new in Europe. I know that God has His hand on this program, that He has great plans for it. Pray that we may stay awake and spiritually alert so that we will not stumble and fall during this critical hour.

Thanks, you are a treasure to us.

God is hiding. He has told me that He wants to be found. Why is this? Is God into playing games with me? I asked Him. He told me no, that´s not the deal. The point of Him hiding is that I have to move somewhere to seek Him, I have to go to a new place, where He is. He could come and be where I am, but that would not serve His purposes. So I feel that we have all entered into a renewed time of seeking Him with EVERYTHING inside of us because that is the only time when He promises to be found.

Are you seeking Him with your whole heart?

Can I just say that I hate getting sick? I missed the last two days of action. But I'm back on board now and ready for the fight. Sometimes I wonder if God allows us to get the bug because it's the only time that we'll actually STOP for a short time. Hmm...

Even two days away from the team and I'm hugging their necks like it's been a year!

So today the Jesus Revolution comes to Biel. I'm not quite sure what this group of people do, but I think it is a lot of lights, music and dance. The youth group is helping to pass out flyers throughout the day downtown Biel and will serve at the event this evening, helping sell tickets and whatever else we can do. The members of the team will stay with the Flurys and the Lingigers, two families from Jahu. The building where they are having the concert is huge and I pray many people come inside and are infected with the love of Christ!

So right here in the same building as Jahu we have a few different businesses owned by different members of the church. I love two see the different realms of life working together like this. On Wednesday mornings we all meet together, the externs, the church leaders and the business owners, and we discuss different items of interest (relationships with coworkers, biblical principles of business, etc.) We like to give each other "honking cards" in these meetings. The idea is based on what geese do when they fly in a V-formation. The one in front is getting the most wind resistance, so the ones behind will honk for encouragement. So we write down encouraging words to anyone we would like to that attends the meeting. Well, one of these business is a software company called Opstasia ran by Bernhard Oestringer and he has decided to create an electronic honking card website, which I am helping him with (conceptually anyway, he the technical guru). I think you better check it out (beware... it's a work in progress).

Hey, I discovered something interesting yesterday for all you car enthusiasts out there. It is possible to change your oil while driving down the freeway at full speed. All you have to do is what I did--first, take off the engine oil cap from your engine. Set it on top of the engine. Then close the hood, and take off full speed down the freeway. When there is a sufficiently strong smell and perhaps a little smoke, you can bet that all of the old, nasty oil has been spit up onto the underside of your hood and throughout your engine. Then drive very slowly to the next exit and pay attention to the "no oil" idiot light, which might come on at any moment. Find the nearest gas station and purchase several quarts of oil.

It's as simple as that--you just changed your oil and you're several kilometers down the road! (You can thank me later.)

And we're back! We enjoyed a our time with the kids from the school cooperative at a sports camp last week in the alps. The location was beautiful, halfway up a mountain with the valley spread out below, spotted with little villages, and the snow-capped alps above. The weather was beautiful, even the thunder storm that we watched roll in across the valley yesterday with great flashes and rumblings. We will post some pictures soon. God showed up in power for the kids, even though we as a team came into the week pretty spanked. All of us were feeling stretched with our schedule and level of output. But God is always faithful to love His kids if you open up your heart, and this last week was no exception.

This morning we sent the McCuens off from Zürich. We had an absolutely AMAZING five days with them. There is a special place in the heart labelled "unconditional love of a parent" and they were able to fill this place in each one of us on the team. For the two of them it was a meeting marathon, but this is not any different from life at CCK and they held up just fine. Actually, it seemed that in all of their giving out they were refreshed while they were here. As it is now a fact that we are on the eve of the first ever European MC beginning in September, we all feel the excitement of being a part of the beginning of something monumental, and P. Kevin and Dee Ann fed that excitement and broadened the vision even larger than it was before. Pastor Kevin saw a picture in his mind of a map of Europe covered with little dots that represent different Master's Commissions. God is still calling a generation to Himself in a peculiar, never-seen-before way.

So we are now in Germany after visiting Europa Park for a day. The park was quite nice, complete with a big roller coaster and lots of cultural food (which was a special hit with Esther and Jill who don´t go on big rides). Now we are with Esther´s grandparents in the little village of Engelthal, just outside Nuremberg. We will stay until the 14th, then we´re off to Italy until the 18th. We´re loving the time so far and are looking forward to Tuscany!
